Activities

A two day Science Academies Lecture Workshop on “Recent advance in Catalysis Sciences” was held in The Sanjay Ghodawat University, Atigre, Kolhapur (MS) on 23rd and 24th February, 2018.
The Lecture workshop was sponsored by the Science Academies, Indian Academy of Science (IASc) Bengaluru, (Sanctioned grant of Rs. 1,65,000/-). The Lecture workshop was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur. Dr. C. S. Gopinath, Senior Principal Scientist, FASc, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune was the Convener and Dr. P. D. Bhange, Assistant Professor of Sanjay Ghodawat University was the Coordinator of this programme.

One Day Seminar on 'Penicillin: The dawn of New Era in Medicine' on arranged on 27th October 2018. Poster and debate competition on theme 'Modern Medicine (Antibiotics) was arranged.
Industry Interaction: Plant Head, QA Head and HR Head from Unichem Laboratories, Kolhapur visited SGU Campus

Celebration of The World Ozone Day for the protection of the Stratospheric Ozone Layer and prevention on Troposphric Ozone 2018

Sanjay Ghodawat University inaugurated the State Level Science Competition - Sci-STAR 2018 on 9th February, 2018 organized by the School of Science. The Inauguration ceremony saw Padma shri Prof. Dr. G.D. Yadav, a renowned scientist, Vice Chancellor and R.T. Mody Distinguished Professor J.C. Bose National Fellow (Govt. of India).

On the Occasion of “World Cancer Day” School of Science and School of Pharmacy had Jointly Organized guest lecture on “ANTICANCER DRUG RESISTANCE: RECENT ADVANCES AND FUTURE POTENTIAL” Thursday, 4th February 2021 at 2.00pm Resource Person Dr. Bajrang Vasant Kumbhar (M.Sc., Ph.D.), Sandip University Nashik.

Organized CSIR NET/GATE workshop Conducted virtually10th - 11th April 2021

Organized workshops on how to write a research proposal, conduct research and publish papers by Dr. N. M. Gupta on 8th Oct., 2022.

Organized a workshop on Artificial Intelligence in health care in association with IIT kharagpur on 23rd Aug., 2022. Aim of the program to provide knowledge about artificial intelligence used in pharmaceutical industry or drug design. Deliberations would help to inculcate the spirit of persistent and continuous learning in the student. Students get hand on experience using this software. 5 students were selected for the second round, got the opportunity to present the project at IIT Delhi.

Value added Course: Hands on training of Instrumentation methods for Chemical Analysis on 4th July 2022 to 9th July 2022

Science Club : The SGU-Science Club and has adopted the Mouje Vadgaon village. Celebrate world environment day on 9th June 2022. Swachata Abhiyan and Tree Plantation activity.

Organized National Seminar on "Emerging Nano Materials for renewable Energy" at SGU on 26th December 2022. More than 300 participant were present. Renowned International/National guest speaker/scientists like Dr. Dipik Dubal, Australia, Dr. Mahesh Suryawanshi, Sydney, Australia, Dr. Chinna Bathula, South Korea and Dr. B.B. Kale, Director General, C-MET visited SGU.

Sci-STAR 2023

Theme : Sustainable Development Goals Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU) inaugurated the State Level Science Competition 4th Sci-STAR 2K23 on 20th January 2023. The chief guest for the inaugural function was Professor Dr. Deepak Dubal, QUT Australia.

Youth To Youth Connect Program arranged on 14th march 2024 in association with Bureau of Indian Standards, pune Around 80 Students from Sanjay Ghodawat University and 50 students from outside colleges participated in this activity.
