About Mechanical Engineering
M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Intake 18

The M. Tech. program consists of the fundamental courses in Power & Energy and specialized courses on Power & Energy Technology. It aims at training the students in Power system technology with a sound base of Electrical Energy Engineering. For a better learning process, students are exposed to case studies and problem-based learning, brainstorming, written tests, computer simulation, group discussions, industrial training seminars, technical seminars and projects

Objective
  • To prepare the students in higher education or a professional career in Power system, Energy Engineering and Renewable energy technologies
  • To train the students with breadth in science and engineering for analysis, design and creation of novel products and solutions in Power system Technologies
  • To develop professional and ethical values, team spirit, communication skills and social awareness in the students
Scope of Employment

The students will be eligible to be employed in Electrical & Electronics companies, Power system companies, System Development consultancy firms Government undertakings, Research & Development centers, Defense vehicles manufacturing units. The students can also opt for civil services examinations such as UPSC, State Public Service Commissions. They can choose to seek admission to higher studies in all institutes including technology and management. Entrepreneurship is also an option after acquiring sufficient experience
